Meh, England, Wales and Scotland have existed in much the same form for over a thousand years. It's not that hard.

not really England had a civil war and was taken over by a Dutch coup in 1688 and all three were separate countries for a long time

Scotland was changed by the English and lasted as it was because every time a legitimate rebel-king arose to change things, he lost. A thousand years ago, Scotland was still known by many other names depending on who is talking about it. The Scotland and Wales you are talking about are actually just English-pasty states, so, unwilling members of the English Empire. Now, how did the English last as long as they did?
