Nice. I guess it's close like horseshoes. I have no interest in meeting Mensa folks for similar impressions though I've not ever met one I'm aware of.

I'd like to pretend that I'm a genius but I don't want to prove myself wrong with a test. In grade 9 we took a test. I got 129, 1 short of "genius". All the way through the multiple choice A B C or D test I kept leaving blanks on the tricky ones to go back later and randomly fill them in at the last minute - but when I finished test I forgot to go back and fill them in! I guess the test prove I wasn't a genius.

Yeah tests are worth whatever. Back when my intellect was in full force, I got 174. Nowadays I'd be surprised if I even reached 120, but then again I find the intellect to be a cumbersome, lumbering and inherently stupid beast. Reducing the mind to data processing capacity is misguided at best. The mind has so much more to offer than computing.

Agreed. The tests are as biased as anything.

I haven't seen tests for street smarts, fashion sense, manners, compassion, pragmatism, character, efficiency, religiosity, well-being, fulfillment. But I haven't looked either, because if I found some I know they'd be biased - and I don't need a test to define who I already know I am.

But, if you will humor me in a separate thread where we could discuss this other topic, and I don't know where the proper Sub would be, I contend that one cannot ever know oneself.

I can't guarantee anything. I'm backed up with 200+ messages, can't stop looking at new content and joining in new discussions, my comments are rarely sparse, and I have ambitious projects I want to do. But I'm game.

I made this last year but I abandoned my multisubs categorizations of SaidIt subs project:

On the right you'll see all the subs that relate to "minds".
