If your debt was accumulated before you got together your husband will have no liability.

Thank god for that, unless he does something dumb like refinance her debt, but the liability isn't the only consideration. She has significant debt that will be over her head for 20-25 years that would impact her ability to contribute to marital finances, if she ever actually gets a job.

She's 35, at the end of her child rearing days, with two kids, I'm thinking from two different dads, crushing debt, and apparently useless degrees. Her dance card is probably pretty empty.

There's no real upside to this guy marrying her.
