The historic drought in Brazil’s Amazon rainforest has reduced the Rio Negro to a trickle and put at risk the livelihoods of remote Indigenous and riverside communities.

It's also killing off the species that make up the ecosystems of the rainforest. (As I've pointed out on climateskeptics: Amazon river dolphins fake global warming by dying from the heat.)
