Oh, I guess it’s kinda like when you find out a guy living on your street is on the Megan’s Law list as a sex offender and it says “lewd and lascivious act with a child under 14” and you go, hmmm, maybe he just slapped her on the butt? Not! Keep in mind that whatever you know about something or someone, it’s usually ten times worse. And, if they actually told us the details in either case, the guy would get whacked immediately.

It can go both ways. Sometimes it could be a whole lot worse than it sounds, but other times you might see a crime listed as "2nd degree rape of a child" or something, but then if you look it up you find out that just means statutory rape and the "child" could be as old as 17.
