As you say; ‘Your view’, not that of the creator, and science can show no proof of this conjecture.

The creator doesn't share his view. Except that an ancient law on causing a miscarriage that remains in exodus, shows that anciently a foetus was not a human.

Science can inform our ethics. On one boundary we know how much brain you need to be conscious (in the sense of awake). So we are very cautious about abortions during the third trimester, because at some point during that we suspect that there's the beginnings of personhood.

This is starting to contrast with Christian-based law where the infant must draw breath in order to realize human rights.

On the other boundary, we know that where there is no brain at all, there cannot be a human.

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Yes. Breath and life are two sides of the same coin anciently. And you can find passages like this throughout the bible that day that before breath there is no living soul, consistent with the passage in exodus about the penalty for causing a miscarriage.

A foetus doesn't breathe.

This slide into arbitrary actions denies the obvious truth that if you don’t kill it it will manifest in a form which even a lawyer would have difficulty explaining away without negating all definitions of life.

Lots of things move without having life. A kite. A landslide. A planet in orbit.

But your argument is that because the infant John the Baptist kicked, and Elizabeth felt it, therefore:

1) he already had a soul.
2) everyone else also suggest has a soul at that age.
and
3) he has this soul since conception.

None of those follow from the premise. I personally feel that (1) and (2) are probably right, but this is late in the pregnancy.

But (3) isn't right to my thinking. And it certainly doesn't follow.

This is your obtuse definition of the effects of mixing dust from the floor of the temple with water and drinking it.

No.

Am I wasting my time talking to a bot?

As you say; ‘Your view’, not that of the creator, and science can show no proof of this conjecture.

Can you point out the "clear and obvious inference" that therefore the foetus has a soul from conception?

The ‘foetus’ is a living soul, a “Nephesh Chaiya”:

7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2 KJV Genesis 2:7 HEB: וַֽיְהִ֥י הָֽאָדָ֖ם לְנֶ֥פֶשׁ חַיָּֽה׃ - KJV: and man became a living soul. : a “Nephesh Chaiyah”.

You admit that the obvious inference is that the child leaping is the start of the quickening

Not necessarily the start. But certainly during that.

but have another definition of the child when it comes to killing it.

The Bible is clear on that in the exodus passage that I quoted.

However, that's not my view. I think that a foetus' life matters as a human's when they become capable of consciousness, which would be some time in the third trimester.

The story of the unborn, but late term, John the Baptist leaping in the presence of Mary does not weigh in on when a foetus becomes a human life: The point of that story is to convince John's followers that they should follow Jesus.

I accept the clear and obvious inference of scripture that what begins at conception is a life.

Because Elizabeth felt her baby move?

Can you point out the "clear and obvious inference" that therefore the foetus has a soul from conception?

Yeah don't think that you can remove the income tax.

According to this https://www.usdebtclock.org/ the income taxes makes up almost $2.3 trillion in income. If you get rid of it it has to either come from another source or added onto the debt.

You can drop the tax and add tariffs but that only moves the payment to another location.

If Trump was to enact the 25% tariff on all Canadian goods then Canadian business would either have to raise the prises to make up the difference, lower their prices (would you continue going to work tomorrow for 25% less?) or the US would have to get it local.

In the case of natural resources like lumber the US simply could not meet the demand. Other imports can not just be replaced locally. It take minimum 6 months to a year to set up a factory, supply it and get labor. Maybe you could push specific production and get critical items going in 4 months but it's hard and you need a slave driver of a boss to get it done.

Let's all remember just 2 years ago what happens when supply can't meet demand!! MMM $16 Big Mac's...

I live alone, pay a mortgage and receive no benefits working a near minimum wage part time job. With no other sources of income or savings. You do not know how to live in poverty, as this has been my life for the past 30+ years.

90 Kilograms ≈ 198.4 Pounds

That's 3 months at 2 pounds a day. Are you sure about your math?

Really we need to end all welfare but the corporations will support it if it's used to kill people which high fructose corn syrup does. If the govt feeds the poor healthy stuff that makes them strong, that's the opposite of what they want. If you don't give them any free food at all, people will stop being lazy and work hard and also possibly revolt like the sans cullotes did in France. They don't want that (I do).

If they wanted pop, they should've just kept diet and zero sugar instead of regular. Regular if it's cane sugar or corn syrup is very bad for you. Worse than diet or zero sugar. The best though would be club soda and sparkling water. I drink zero sugar, diet, club soda and sparkling water.

this cheap shitty food is causing gastrointestinal problems and therefore mental illness.

You should know welfare does not give enough to eat healthy, things like fresh vegetables is out of the food list. Best one can do is can vegetables high in sodium. They can't buy good choice of beef so it's cheap menced meat, the high fat walmart crap. I know, I'm 71 and my union pension does not last a full month now days and so I have EBT ( welfare food stamps).

I don't want my tax dollars being used to promote illness, obesity and laziness among the poor population.

Elected officials aren't all that keen on actually solving a problem when its very existence offers opportunities to expand government, set up new bureaucracies in which lucrative positions are available for those who help oil the political machinery. In this case, homelessness offers opportunities which would be wasted if the problem were solved.

AFAIC all political organizations are corrupt, the difference is how blatantly.

You admit that the obvious inference is that the child leaping is the start of the quickening, but have another definition of the child when it comes to killing it. To clarify, I am responding to your assertion that:

I shouldn't be supporting the mistaken idea that human life begins at conception.

I accept the clear and obvious inference of scripture that what begins at conception is a life.

A Druid worships trees.

We don't have very good records of what they worshipped. None from the Druids themselves.

Wiccans still worship Odin and other Pagan Gods and Goddesses.

Wicca is a modern religion, founded in England some time after 1921. You could drive a truck 500 years wide between Wicca and Odin worship, and not touch either.

No. A druid is a priest in the ancient Celtic religion. They're a person, not a tree.

Santa Claus comes from 19th century New York. A good 700 years after the last evidence that Odin was worshipped, and a completely different part of the world.

They deck a tree with silver and gold.

No. They deck the wooden carving with silver and gold.

They've been worked with an ax by an artisan.

For the customs of the peoples are false:
a tree from the forest is cut down
and worked with an ax by the hands of an artisan;

4 they deck it with silver and gold;
they fasten it with hammers and nails
so that it cannot move.
5 Their idols[a] are like scarecrows in a
cucumber field,
and they cannot speak;
they have to be carried,
for they cannot walk.
Do not be afraid of them,
for they cannot do evil,
nor is it in them to do good.

I kinda of wish you'd state what your position is rather than making me infer your meaning from ":)"

You're claiming that Elizabeth didn't feel that "the child leaped in her womb"? And therefore hadn't reached the quickening?

Because the straightforward reading of the passage is that she felt it.

And when the mother can feel the baby move, that's the start of the quickening.

41 When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the child leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.
42 and exclaimed with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.
43 And why has this happened to me, that the mother of my Lord comes to me?
44 For as soon as I heard the sound of your greeting, the child in my womb leaped for joy.

I genuinely don't see how you can read that and claim that Elizabeth didn't feel the child move in her womb.

What is your interpretation of it?
