I see posts online about "fake" attacks. It will always be difficult for the average person to understand how someone can justify doing something like this. It doesn't make sense so therefore some of us give credence to conspiracy to deceive us. This kid had problems and was "radicalized" and decided to act out due to those mental problems.

According to his manifesto he was radicalized during Covid lockdown.

I heard he started browsing 4chan and was inspired by the guy who shot up the mosques in New Zealand. A normal 18-year-old doesn't jump that fast without a traumatic event. I bet people who knew him will say that he was "strange" or "a little off". Lockdowns surely don't help in this situation where normal socialization and interpersonal interaction are absent.

Suicide rates among kids went up massively during lockdown, suicides attempts including other people will also go up in line with that.
