Thank you for the post, very informative. It is really curious why they opt for the very invasive nasal swap. I mean you would image a saliva swap would be just as good. My initial thoughts were that it was supposed to be very invasive to train people to submit. While that can be a factor, I think now there is a huge possibility that either there is already something in those nasal swaps, or they are also training people to make it just a regular thing to get your brain scratched whenever they roll out something new.

In some states they do a saliva swab, but if you read the instructions given with it, the saliva swab is provided by a company like 23&me, and they let you know in fine print they’re collecting your DNA and going to be studying it and selling it.

I honestly can’t find the video on YouTube anymore, but it was posted here. It was a normal middle-aged woman in a red jacket iirc, who went to go get tested and was handed a saliva kit. She happened to read and unfold all the paper that came with it.

My parents have been tested 5 times due to work (I don’t live with them so I’m safe lol), each time has been nasal.
