YouTube Paused My Comments

First time that's ever happened to me. And of course they don't reference which comment was so "harmful to the community." Best guest is that I had some unkind words for the mayor of Boston, who mistakenly sent out invitations to a no-whites Xmas party to her white constituents/donors. No threats or even cuss words. I think I might have said "moron?" Can't seem to find any real way to appeal it either or even see how long the ban/pause is. Anyone else?

I'm shadowbanned from commenting on all of youtube also. It's probably extremely common yet no one talks about it. You think you're participating but no one ever sees it or votes, it disappears from view when you log out

Seems the pause is over? It's frustrating as you can't even see what the ban/pause was for.

Oh that's good at least. Mine seems to be permanent. I have no idea why I'm shadowbanned, or how many years ago it happened. Thankfully I don't comment on youtube a lot. If I had to guess, probably had to do with me commenting about the mRNA shots under a video about it.

Stuff like this is the death of internet community. I predict a slow rejection of the internet over the next decade for this reason.

Makes no sense, though. The whole idea behind a forum/comments is that you have people talking about the video. If you disable/ban/pause them, you're taking away what makes a YT video better than a movie/show on legacy media. That and not even referencing what it was that caused offense is stupid.

I've had three accounts banned there so I not longer comment there.

I’ve been banned 4 times from Reddit. But never from Youtube. I even wrote the word nigger in the youtube comments section whilst talking about history.

How the hell did you get banned from Youtube???

It will say it took a long time for my first account and I was surprised. Then my second account lasted a year and a half. Both were old gmail accounts. Then I finally just used my main account and that was banned in 6 months or so. I don't remember anything in particular other than the typical discussion of Jews and non-Whites that you would see here.

Had a similar experience with YouTube comment moderation. Lack of specifics on the flagged content can be frustrating. Lets hope for better communication and a more accessible appeal system.
