It is amazing that the UK government (or, at least, a government committee) is getting involved in this case. He's been faced with accusations - not a trial, not definitive proof, just anonymous accusations about his behavior more than a decade ago - and government employees are immediately running around telling everyone to silence him.

I'm not normally conspiracy-minded, but some of these anonymous women seem to be saying the quiet part out loud: "Well, now that he's rebranded himself as a health guru, I felt I had to act."

In other words, maybe this is just a big game of Silence The Antivaxxer.

We're here to change that.

Some of us aren't.

I always laugh whenever you ask this question.

Yes... silence the wrong-thinker. Cancellation can be used against more than just those who express dangerous and deadly skepticism over the very safe and effective vaccine which is safe and effective which government experts assure us is safe and effective.

We are fortunate to live in times where today's compassionate global fascism will protect us all from ideas and speech that special blue ribbon panels of government-appointed specialists have deemed too hazardous for public consumption.

The fact that private entities cooperatively enforce government speech constraints just warms the very cockles of my heart.

The takeaway here is definitely that the vaccines are as you stated, not only safe but also effective. Safely effective and effectively safe they are.

The safety and effectiveness of the safe and effective vaccine, which is safe and effective, can never be overstated. Even suggesting otherwise posses a grave public health issue and threatens OurDemocracy®.

"Well, now that he's rebranded himself as a health guru, I felt I had to act."

I see what you did there.

How is this anything but straight out censorship?

[–]turtlew0rk 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

People don't even think censorship is bad anymore so it doesn't matter how blatant it is as long as they disagree with the person being censored.

Could als say it's state harassment and cruel and unusual punishment.

What would you think if the government wrote to your workplace and told them not to pay you anymore.

I don't think there is any law against hosting videos made by convicted criminals, let alone those accused of crime.

So if a politician in the UK gets accused of taking a bribe will they now loose their paycheck? Perhaps they should be forced to resign... at least until after the trial right?

I see Caroline Dineage MP has been going in heavy on social media companies who publish Russell Brand's "conspiracy theories", trying to tell the likes of rumble what they can and can't publish online. Meanwhile in other news her husband is a former Deputy Commander of the Army's 77th Brigade, the unit which tackles legitimate criticism of the British government by British citizens online, err... sorry... I mean tackles misinformation and disinformation online by bad foreign actors. I expect it's all just another coincidence. https://twitter.com/A1an_M/status/1704776579421815017

Dame Caroline Dinenage Must Resign - Academic Agent [7.46] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wfxm7_aCjww

Dinenage was a sponsor of the Online Harms Bill and is married to another MP who is a top guy in the 77th Brigade (Mark Lancaster). All are available on Wiki. Also, as an aside, it's pronounced 'Dine-idge'. She's Fred Dinenage's daughter of the popular 1970s children's TV programme, 'How'.

It's hard for me to support Russel Brand because of his behavior over the years and his lack of support for the incel community but I still think it's bullshit what's being done to him. Clearly his skepticism of official narratives prevalent in most western countries is what's causing this firestorm. It's reminiscent of Andrew Tate's treatment in the media. I hope he makes it through but if he doesn't this just adds credibility to his work. He's a real nigga for sure.

lack of support for the incel community

WTF? What support does this "community" need? All they need to do is get laid and they are no longer in the "community". Russell Brand is pretty much the complete opposite of an incel.

He may even be guilty. Idk. That's the point.

It's the literal actual reason Rumble is open in my browser and YouTube isn't.
