This video is disinformation. She has not been "criminalized".

She spreads disinformation for Russia, promoting the genocide of Ukrainians. There is no excuse for that. None.

Alina Lipp (born September 17, 1993 in Hamburg) is a native of Russia or Russian-occupied areas of Ukraine such as B. Donetsk-based German blogger who spreads pro-Russian propaganda in German- and Russian-speaking countries.

Especially on Telegram, but also on other channels, Alina Lipp supports the Russian invasion of Ukraine for a German- and Russian-speaking audience. In addition, she disseminates content that deals with an allegedly radically anti-Russian mood in Germany that largely corresponds to Russian narratives, as well as her negative portrayal of Germany and life in Germany for Russian-speaking audiences. She has been a guest on various Russian state-run television channels, such as Zvezda, the channel of the Russian Defense Ministry. She is considered to be well connected within the scene in Germany and Russia.[2] The public prosecutor’s office in Göttingen has been investigating Alina Lipp since 2022 on initial suspicion of rewarding and approving crimes under Section 140 No. 2 of the Criminal Code (StGB) and accuses her of having repeatedly approved the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, which according to the public prosecutor’s office is a crime of the constitutes aggression according to Section 13 Paragraph 1 of the International Criminal Code.[3] In this context, a four-digit sum was seized from her account, but most of her assets had already been transferred to Russia.[4][5] However, she has not yet been charged or convicted.

Dissemination of misinformation

The weblog Volksverpetzer published an article in which several false messages from Alina Lipp are refuted. Among other things, she spread a message that allegedly in Ukraine still alive, unconscious people organs were removed and sold by "black transplantologists". She did not provide any evidence for this message. In addition, Lipp claimed on her channel that the bombing of the maternity hospital in Mariupol, which resulted in four deaths and one stillbirth, was not perpetrated by Russia but by Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov himself admitted that the clinic was bombed by Russian troops. However, he claimed that there were no more civilians there.[6]

Alina Lipp works with the Russian-based blogger Thomas Röper, who also spreads pro-Russian propaganda.[8][9][10]

Agree entirely.

She said that the Russian massacre at a maternity hospital in Mariupol was a Ukrainians false flag attack.

That's not "reporting on Ukrainian war crimes" by any measure. Russia has admitted that the airstirke on the hospital was deliberate: https://www.pravda.com.ua/eng/news/2022/03/10/7330042/

She also claims backing Ukraine is akin to supporting Nazism. I wonder if she knows Zelenskyy lost family in the holocaust.

I can't find a source detailing what the charges are. And the claim that the authorities withdrew 1600 euros from her personal bank account sets off my bullshit detector. That's a paltry amount of money. If you fine someone, you send them a penalty notice. I believe that you need to jump through a stack of hoops including demonstrating plausible suspicion of fraud or tax evasion to even look at a bank account in Germany.

Perhaps paypal are holding some of her earnings. They do that.

Thanks. It surprises me that anyone would trust these obvious propaganda resources that have been very well known for their lies, while also not apparently understanding the significance of what Russia has been doing in Ukraine in the past decade+.

Indeed, I doubt the German government made much of an effort to get € 1600 from a bank account, whereas Paypal is known to freeze funds at the request of government agencies. Paypal has blocked payments to some Russian accounts over the years.

To me, the normalization and/or acceptance of disinformation over the years, for several topics, is almost worse than the topics themselves. One of the reasons I visit Saidit is to see what kinds of disinformation are trending.
