I always think of the guy from American Pie and Zach Levy. There's surprise almost to the point of feeling like they've been underhanded in some way due to "seeming Jewish", but not actually being Jewish. And why would that matter, unless being Jewish actually is advantageous to get a leg up in Hollywood?

There's a difference between saying "All you need is to be Jewish" and "Being Jewish certainly helps". When you reach the point of making out the latter is as bad as the former, it's just going to foster anti Semitism, since it will just lead to people going "Well why don't they want people talking about something that harmless?"

Jason Biggs isn't Jewish? He certainly looks it, although I guess his name isn't that Jewy sounding

Thats the funniest thing about all this to me. All of the people they are worried are susceptible to anti-semitism - but those people are going to see the response to Kanye/Kyrie as confirming what they are saying. Furthermore, Kyrie's tweet was up for a couple hours before he deleted it, it was the weeks of news cycle coverage in response to it that drove that video that they don't want people watching to the top of the Amazon lists
