Until people wake up to the fact that encouraging "transitioning" is itself the direct encouragement of self-hatred, we are stuck. What about teaching kids to accept themselves as they are and to learn to love themselves? No surgery, no hormones, no change required. What a concept, right?

Eh I wouldn't say love yourself, more like "you're better than this, make the best of what you've got"

Otherwise we'd ban anything that modifies your image. Woman will tell you to love yourself, while wearing makeup and bodyforming underwear.

The film was well made and Matt Walsh was more reserved and polite than normal, it's the left themselves who feature in the film that expose their lunacy. Calling it hate speech is a cop out for the absolute failure in their ideology.

in short, eventbrite no longer fit for purpose.

Headline is somewhat misleading. An event planning social media site has deleted a number of planned events that involve screening of these movies citing their own hate speech policies. Though none of these events have actually been cancelled and the movie has not been banned.

This is more an example of over bias in online moderation.

I think your framing is far more misleading. If they could have banned the film they would, they simply don't have that power. And they used the hate speech excuse to censor speech simply because they didn't agree with it politically.

The title perfectly conveys that. Your framing implies that the excuse is valid if a bit tough, and there was no real harm. Both claims are wrong and entirely biased

Hardly. I take offense to the implication I'm implying the excuse is valid. No excuse has been given as such. This event platform has chosen to delist a number of these screenings with no sufficient explanation which is clearly a heavy handed case of moderation censorship.

However it is important to not fall into semantic traps and to be clear and concise in the use of language. The movie has not been banned and the events are going to continue as planned. This website has chosen to essentially delist the events for no stated reason beyond a simple form letter. If you claim the film has been banned you open yourself up to being disregarded outright as it clearly has not been banned.

Hard disagree. Cancelling all events on their platform is a ban on their platform. You have no point in splitting hairs here. Just useless pedantry.

It's been banned off their site, which was the primary means of getting the word out about the screening.

You think they don't know what they're doing? Of course they do. This movie is extremely damaging to their cause; naturally they're going to use everything they can to stop people from seeing it. All it does is let them speak in their own words. And that's the worst thing you can do to them.

They created that cult and now they are banning it because people are using it to exposed its ugly truth

They hate this film because it questions the basis of their imaginary identities and shows them that they've wasted their lives on a fantasy.

He mentions the active shooter in the beginning. I didn't even hear anything about that until much later. I think only fox carried it. Black mass shooters don't fit the right narrative.

It is not hate speech.

You know what's not hate speech though?

Threatening others with death and rape and rallying others to send pipe bombs to houses of people who tell the truth ❤️❤️❤️
