F-Reddit. What were you censored for saying on Reddit, and what event was the final straw before leaving?

Only been on reddit for 2 weeks. I make 2 or 3 comments per day, got 2 silver awards and one Platinum award, invited to the Platinum users club for making funny remarks. At the same time I got minus -100 downvotes for one comment on politics, put on the ten minute egg timer thing, and shadowbanned with no reason given (my posts simply do not show up).

Reddit seems to be set up to manage public opinion into some sort of bizarre herd consensus. I've never before seen a public message board that attempts this. Typically contrary opinions are subject for debate, not censorship.

What's the point in having a "discussion" forum where everybody agrees with each other?

That's not a "discussion" it's a circle jerk. That's what reddit is: one big circle jerk.

Some people are into the circle jerking thing, because if they weren't invited in the circle jerking, then everyone would be doing the regular ol' solo-jerk.

Because the majority need an echo chamber for their huge ego.

It's not because of the tool, it's because this is the human nature. But the admin of the Reddit ban a part of the echo chamber, that's why Voat exist.

That's not a huge ego, that's a tiny, insecure ego that can't withstand criticism. They want to call me a "nazi" while doing the exact same thing the nazis did: control propaganda. Censor, ban and delete people, burn books, destroy ideas. The internet routes around censorship, unlike previous forms of mass media. We can make our own web sites, like this one.

I don't think they must be insecure, they are just stupid and evil. They want to safest and mindless way, that's all.
