My guess is that eventually they'll sign a peace treaty that assigns Crimea and the Donbas to Russia.

At that point, well, who won the war? Putin solidified his claim on one region and took another one, so Russia? But it was underwhelming, humiliating, and somewhat Phyrric, so Ukraine?
