Also, I read somwhere that Japan has actually very big population of LGBT, almost as big as in the west, but because of the ultra conservative society and goverment, they are forced to hide their sexuality.

There is no 'LGBT' but if you're talking about same sex attracted ppl, then I don't know why it would surprise anyone that the portion of society that is same sex attracted is basically the same across all populations, whether they hide it or not
