Does anyone have the time from when the shooting started to his arrest? The response time is suspiciously long.

I have a timeline of the video here: https://saidit.net/s/Death/comments/fyo/christchurch_mosque_footage/rdn
He starts shooting at 6:35 in the video. The video cuts out at 16:55, and I think he's near the second mosque when it cuts out. So the police response time was about 11-13 mins or so. Kind of typical, but a little slow. But for high-stakes operations they often have to do a bit more planning before rushing in and that can take a minute.

I've been told the police don't keep weapons on them so they have to go back to the station to equip themselves. 11-13 mins is much faster than I expected that to take. They are using this to ban semi-autos (not trying to be political just stating the facts) but I wonder if this will also reshape police procedures. People now know as a shooter it's possible to hit more than 1 target.

Seriously? Wow that's interesting.
I was reading about other mass shootings and it looks like the average response time is about 5-10 mins, so if they had to go back to the station to get guns, I'd say 11-13 mins is quite quick too.
I can imagine a change in policy to give guns to police though will just end up being used as a foot in the door towards a slippery slope of police militarization. Soon NZ police will look like American and French police.
Even if the cops had guns on them, they wouldn't have stopped any more killings I don't think, they would've just stopped him earlier on his drive to the second mosque. He killed like 45 I think in about 3 minutes in the first mosque. Frighteningly quick
