Anti-monarchy is caused by the behavior of King Charles and Prince William. King Charles doesn't appear to be interested in seeing the children of his son, Prince Harry. Prince William has no desire to reconcile with his brother, despite him being a war veteran. If King Charles and Prince William reconcile with Prince Harry, the monarchy would be stronger because Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would be very popular particularly with the young and nonwhites.

It boggles my mind that the people still put with this monarchy nonsense in this day and age.

A constitutional monarch is literally just a seat filler to stop the upper classes from being able to buy the head of state position as they do in the USA and other countries.

You gotta be kidding me. They appoint royalty based on their birthright and pay for their entire families extravagant lifestyle and security using the people's money in order to avoid rich people from being able to obtain high ranking positions? This seems counterproductive to say the least. Not to mention that the myth of a seat filler is based on the Monarchs not exercising their constitutional rights over the government and their SUBJECTS. Subjects.

Also the UK Prime Minister has a net worth of $850 million so that whole keeping the rich guy of the seat doen't seem to be working.

People like the pageantry. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would make it better because they are a cute couple.

I wish I could argue with you on that one but unfortunately that is a fact. Hence the boggled mind...
