If I were in charge of a country like that I would deny outside aid too. These countries offering aid are really offering a contract of servitude. That's why they are angry they are being rejected. They want power over them, nothing else.

That is a reasonable take on any "organized" charity.

Not just the usual suspects - The United Way, The Red Cross.

Add to the list of suspects Greenpeace, World Wildlife Federation, The Sierra Club, and for sure, Amnesty International.
