Glencore is the 14th largest company in the world. They were the company who gave the government of Chad 1.4 billion dollars to buy 25% of their oil infrastructure (which itself makes up 98% of the economy) from Chevron, in a 4-year loan coming due in 2018 that the Chad government will not be able to pay. Glencore can then tell the Chadian government what to do.

Here they are investigating their behavior in the Congo. A pattern is starting to emerge.
