I don't think a real child rapist would find life very pleasant (or long) in Russia.

In Russia, a child is six, not sixteen. And, apparently, they don't really care about kiddie porn, at all.

I have seen absolutely no evidence of that and that reeks of US propaganda. Russians are generally not porn-addicted like Americans are, and I understand it is much more difficult to view porn in Russia than in USA, where you can walk into a public library, watch porn on a government-owned computer, and masturbate next to the kid beside you trying to do his homework in the library because he doesn't have Internet at home.

Because the porn industry in Russia is largely underground, it may be under the control of the mafia, with all that entails. But I've never heard any stories of large amounts of kiddie porn coming out of Russia. Europe, yes, and places in southeast Asia, also South America, yes.

If you read the article, the guy they're inducting into the military, and is expecting to get Russian citizenship, is on the run for a kiddie porn conviction in the U.S. The Russians obviously don't care. Actually, most countries have much lighter sentences, if any, for kiddie porn. In Canada, sentences are rarely more than a few months.
