Israel apologists are citing a new report from the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI), which claims that Middle Eastern money is fueling a vast wave of anti-Semitic sentiment on U.S. college campuses.

...the NCRI’s primary funder is the Israel on Campus Coalition, a group whose mission statement says it wants to “unite the many pro-Israel organizations that operate on campus” and to “marginalize” pro-Palestine groups.

The Israel on Campus Coalition also works hand in hand with the Jewish National Fund, which builds illegal Israeli settlements on Palestinian land.

NCRI co-founder Joel Finkelstein previously worked for the Anti-Defamation League, a group that even the FBI accused of being an Israel front group. Meanwhile, other key staff have connections to the Israel lobby.

The NCRI was also the source of a Washington Post attack article against Electronic Intifada and The Grayzone, that implied they were far-right conspiracy theorists denying Hamas atrocities.

Nevertheless, the NCRI and its reports continue to be cited in establishment media, and are the basis for many of the stories about foreign disinformation plaguing the internet.
