Obviously, the OP lives in a bizarre fantasyland where Democrats are trying to win, trying to help the working class, and trying to appeal to the working class. But I still find it interesting.

They know it's bullshit. It's about voter retention. No different than the way car commercials are primarily designed to prevent consumers from getting buyers remorse and trading in the brand new car which drives down the resale market. Voter retention articles are there soothe voters frustrations through commiseration. Feeding them sympathy gets them back in line and doing what they are told. I've read enough of these "Democrats need to reform" articles I could probably piece it together without reading it.
