Maybe going to college shouldn't require signing off the rest of your life as an eternal debtor.

Maybe the point of going to college should be made clearer and/or real instead of it being an expensive way to get another piece of paper with which to wipe your ass with.

Maybe the root causes of the situation with the education system should be addressed before playing with numbers about who goes or doesn't go to college.

Two of those causes being the intentional design of keeping the lower classes poor and in debt, and the intentional design to funnel the poorer among those towards the military.

A third one being the intentional design of limiting the number of potentially educated people who don't come from the owner class, since those could be threats to the established system.

It's not possible to have a system with rising tuition and many careers with limited job opportunities without a decline in enrolment. Eventually people are going to realzie that it isn't worth paying for all but the highest paying majors.
