Howdy!

Your "Hey Burners!" reminds me of Sidney Spritzer from the old Milton Berle Show. Spritzer sat in a box above the stage and heckled Berle. Spritzer, played by veteran vaudevillian Irving Benson, delivered his lines in a perfect deadpan. Here's the exchange I remember:

Spritzer (in box above the stage): Hey Berle!
Berle, looking up, annoyed: What?
S: I don't like the way you're doing the show.
B: Well, what's wrong with how I'm doing the show?
S: For one thing, you're too close to the camera.
B: Well, how far away should I be?
S: You got a car?

That was terrific! Statler & Waldorf were probably based on Sidney Spritzer. This routine sure was.
