The US Indo-Pacific Command said the Chinese Shenyang J-11 pilot "executed an unsafe intercept" of a B-52 aircraft, which was "lawfully conducting routine operations over the South China Sea in international airspace."

The Chinese Communist Party furiously hit back at the US over the close call, accusing it of provocation via excessive military presence.

Flying a B-52 bomber over the South China Sea is provocative, in light of the escalated saber-rattling the US has been engaging in over the past year or more. Not to mention all the Congresscritters who've been hot-footing it to Taiwan when they should be keeping their asses at home dealing with the real-life problems confronting Americans.

But I'm not surprised at the slanted viewpoint of this article, which includes this "Read more" link: "Putin troops near collapse as Russia Army bracing for mutiny."
