Story time:

I know that on this game called "Destiny 2" there was a whole season they made to criticize MAGA people (the devs were very woke, but actually competent in making stuff which is a rarity). Basically there was this faction called "fallen" that did HORRIBLE things to humanity and the whole season was this one fallen leader trying to make an alliance with humanity's vanguard (the vanguard was the faction of the game that protected humanity, basically controlled the soldiers of humanity to solve its problems. It was also very incompetent at making these soldiers not commit war crimes).

On this season they created a sort of "spacegoat", they took a old forgotten character they made it exactly like how the devs saw the average MAGA guy: extremely xenophobic, violence the answer, united everyone under the banner of not making an alliance with the fallen. After the events of the season in the ending the leader died because they made a stupid mistake and nearly bought the collapse of the central city of humanity. It was very convenient to the fallen and the vanguard, since it killed the movement of this leader by making him look like a big fool. So everyone just went along with the peace agreement and the season ended in a high note with the peace agreement.

I would also like to mention this specific leader was at the forefront of saving humanity at some very important moments in the history of humanity, some of them that almost bought it to extinction. They also watched countless of their friends die and it's a miracle they were even holding along as is.

Anyway another important humanity figure that is a outsider to the vanguard (but the vanguard keeps him around because he's very useful) joked that he ate babies of these fallen sometimes. It was funny... at least until humanity made the whole peace agreement with the fallen. That line stayed because it was part of a gamemode and the devs were too busy with other stuff to remove it.

It hit a bit different after that. It came off as a funny reminder to the player of all the terrible things this fallen species did to humanity to the point that joking of eating their babies was just a standup comedy line in the Destiny universe. And now humanity was allied to this species.

That's the story.
