NEW: Vivek Ramaswamy calls transgenderism in children a mental disorder and calls for parents to get their rights back. 🔥🔥

He even went as far to say “affirming” kids’ genders was cruel.

“I have to be very clear about this. Transgenderism, especially in kids, is a mental health disorder.“

“I'm sorry, it is not compassionate to affirm a kid's confusion. That is not compassion, that is cruelty.”

Ban genital mutilation & puberty blockers before age 18. Treat gender dysphoria as a mental health disorder. Courage is contagious. Chloe @ChoooCole and Katie exemplify that for sharing their stories.

From the my-expectations-were-low-but-wow file:

Chris Christie Threatens Trump: "We're Gonna Call You Donald Duck"

Recycling a Clinton attack that was too stupid for Donna Brazile? Yeah, that'll move the Republican base. Good call.

Good grief, Christie's “Donald Duck” is just embarrassing. Why should Trump demean himself by debating loser candidates like Christie?

I’m very amused by Hillary's idea of using ducks against Trump. Since Hillary has no functioning sense of humor, she obviously didn't remember the duck joke from 1992 when George H. W. Bush was running against Bill Clinton. Here's my recollection of the facts:

One day Bush was having an event at a Waffle House, trying to draw attention to Bill Clinton's inconsistency on issues. "He's a waffler" was the theme. Bush tried to crack an old joke:

A duck walks into a bar. The bartender says: "hey, your pants are down".

Nobody got the joke, so Bush tried to explain: "duck... pants are down, you know, soft feathers?"

Here's the joke: when Bill Clinton heard about this, he took offense and said "I wish Bush would keep my draft record and sex life out of this".

IMO the candidates who are attacking Trump are morons. The reality is that Trump is very popular with primary voters and the only way Trump doesn't get the nomination is if there's a deus ex machina like illness or a verdict Trump can't talk his way out of. Attacking Trump just alienates his voters. They aren't going to switch their votes to the attacker.

No, the best thing is to make oneself look like the best alternative if Trump falls.

And what's wild is that there's one guy who already had that position by default.

DeSantis running at all this cycle is one of the worst cases I've ever seen of consultant leeches persuading a man to do something that's obviously against his best interests. Everyone assumed he had the next cycle locked down. From what we've now seen of his shortcomings, that doesn't look like it'd be good bet anymore, of course, but it was a bet everyone was ready to make a year ago.

Everyone assumed he had the next cycle locked down.

I think this sort of thinking is risky. IMO, if DeSantito had waited for the next cycle, somebody else would have stolen his place.

Despite his shortcomings, DeSantito is still #2 in most GOP primary polls I've seen. OTOH, he's usually behind Biden in head-to-head matchups, while Trump is generally tied with Biden and sometimes a little ahead.

I think this sort of thinking is risky.

Very probably, but that was all the talk at the time. "Natural successor," "heir apparent," "next in line." I saw virtually no dissenters, and Kristi Noem (who really never locked down her state) was scoffed at if anyone had heard of her at all. There were even a couple of weird attempted hit pieces which went nowhere because no one believed them, but also no one cared.

Can't be bothered to watch this, though I'm sure I'll come across clips over the next few days. Looks like it was a trainwreck. 😄

Well, let's face it, US politics are a trainwreck.
