Yep.

All about the control the rich would have.

Probably over cost.

Pissed at the loss of sovereignty and acquiescence to the WEF.

Funny, cost didn't come up in the video, it was about citizen rights. But I may have missed something so let me know when you've watched it.

Watched it. That was one private citizen's comments at an open meeting, he was with a group. The mayor or councillors who spoke were neutral and trying not to offend a room full of angry citizens. It doesn't tell us how, or if, the.council modified any real plans for a smart city.

The speaker is part of an activist group, Kicking the International Council Out Of Local Environmental Initiatives; their primer can be found here.

The video covered only the council meeting but says this in the description: "Updates to come on https://gather2030.substack.com/."

You're right that the meeting didn't solve anything, but it's good to see this kind of activism and raising awareness. We have to take our successes where they come, no matter how small they seem, and then spread the news like little Johnny Appleseeds because we never know where and how it may bear fruit. The alternative is to bitch and moan and adopt a defeatist attitude which fortunately, isn't part of most people's DNA. For those of us determined to fight, videos like this show us one way to go about it.

I know that's what killed Google's project on the Toronto waterfront.

8-minute video and well worth the listen. The speaker, Joel Sussman, covers the gamut of globalist plans for total control of the population through surveillance; digital currencies, passports and IDs; social credit scores, etc., with 15-minute cities just being one of them.
