Is it just me or did Russell Brand and Jimmy Dore get a hit piece at the same time?

I've been out of the loop but somehow, a web of ex- friends of Jimmy decided to spread a smear about him being "funded by a billionaire" and working for the establishment at the same time that Russell is getting liberal hit pieces.

I'm beginning to believe that this is another example of shoot the messenger to ignore the message.

But what has everyone else been finding out about it?

I dont know what the Dize piece is supposed to be, but it's certainly not journalism. Her only sources are a guy that had a public fued and falling out with the accused (JD), and HERSELF! Any journalist with an ounce of integrity would look at the sources of these accusations and laugh. The author can not be 1 of only 2 sources in an article leveling these kinds of accusations, with zero proof.

All Dize proved was that she had a professional relationship with Allard. The rest is speculation and heresay. If more (or any) evidence comes out to prove that JD took money from Allard, and in return knowingly told lies on his show (because that is the accusation here) I will be the first person to say "Well shit. Jimmy Dore is untrustworthy, and I will never believe another word he says." But this proves nothing.

Dize's piece makes one person look bad, and that's Dize. She says that she was being funded by Allard, and the only reason it stopped was because Chariton was falsely accused of misappropriating funds. What she failed to mention was that, along with the accusation of misappropriating funds, was an accusation of sexual assualt. From what I have read, the accusations are refuted by Chariton, and he very well may be innocent, but that's not the point. The point is that she didn't mention this as a possible (and probable) reason for why Allard severed ties with Chariton. Professional relationships have ended over these sorts of allegations before, regardless of the veracity of the claims. But the fact that she omitted this is, in my opinion, very telling. This is what this is all about, isn't it? Journalistic transparency?

To be completely honest, I have no idea whether or not Dore did what Dize is accusing him of here. And neither do you. And perhaps most importantly, neither does Dize. All she says is, "I took money from this guy, but i didn't take any editorial direction from him. But Jimmy Dore did. And how do I know this? Well, I mean.... come on... it sure seems like it to me, and the guy that publically dislikes him."

Really think about it. She took money from Allard. Dore took money from Allard. That money funded both of their respective shows. The only difference is that Dore received funds for longer. And she doesn't even have proof of that, let alone proof that Dore changed a single second of his show at the behest of Allard.

For the record, I'm not saying that what Dize is saying is not true. What I'm saying is that she presented zero evidence to back up her claims, other than the fact that she was engaged in the exact same financial relationship that she is accusing Dore of. As I said, if evidence is presented that proves her claims against Dore to be true, then I will have no problem calling him out on it. But for now, this sounds like a... dare I say.... BASELESS CONSPIRACY THEORY.

Left or right, Jimmy’s batting average is nearly a thousand.

Why? Because he has a cheat code.

Every time he has a choice to make towards taking a stance or giving an opinion, he chooses the more cynical path. Every time people start to assume there is a limit to corruption he chooses to assume there is no limit to the corruption.

He’s been right virtually every time following this pattern.

Graham Elwood is a pathetic loser/failed game-show host/50+ year old teenager.

In public, He constantly waves an “I’m sober and live on a higher 12-step spiritual plane than alcoholic Jimmy” , (which literally goes against every basic tenet of 12-step principle). While still having the same unresolved temper tantrum over losing his house that he clearly shouldn’t have ever been able to buy with game-show blood money, and being blackballed over dating a troubled waitress who was maybe half his age.

If he actually had any kind of true 12-step recovery he would have gotten over those resentments and he sure as shit wouldn’t be blasting any of it on YouTube. He’s gonna have a real good drinking binge when he realizes he needs to make an amends to Jimmy Dore if he ever expects to be happy.

God this is so true. Elwood is a raving lunatic, and his only way out is to calm down, abandon his comic-book hero complex (which includes losing the superman forelock he plays with off and on), and settle into the reality that most of us are doing the best we can with the information we have. Assuming ill-will on the part of Jimmy is eating him alive with jealousy and butt-hurt, and he just comes off as a tantrum-throwing toddler.

He is the poster-child for anger management services:

I thought this thread was referring to Cenk Uygur's appearance on Rising today where he repeatedly bashed Jimmy. In fact, Cenk was so unhinged that he could be characterized as having JD-derangement-syndrome.

Where did that Allard gossip come from, anyway? Graham Elwood recently put out a video (that he's getting ratio'd on for those who can view Youtube dislikes) with more jealous grumbling about Jimmy but he doesn't have many followers and most of them have overlap as Jimmy listeners, and the video you linked in this thread has only a thousand subscribers, but liberals everywhere are suddenly harping on it loudly.

A web? I thought it was just Graham digging his hole ever deeper. Who else has been repeating it and more importantly, has any of them been providing even circumstantial evidence?

As to the timing, I can't think of a specific topic that both covered around the same time that could have yet triggered it.

The Russell Brand hit job is obviously a planned attack, which would imply that something he covered recently would need to be looked at more closely by regular people.

The Jimmy thing feels more like just another case of Graham not being capable of accepting that he bought the bullshit.

Her, Jimmy has also bought the bullshit and who knows what would have happened if he hadn't been injured himself right from the start. Maybe they'd still be great friends, but complete shitlibs as well since that's what you need to be to justify belief in the pandemic bullshit.

Bottom line, from where I'm standing, one is a hit job and the other is just yet another case of rambling from an ego-injured past comedian.

Not coordinated. Well they're coordinated in the sense that they regularly put out hit pieces on Jimmy, so it's not surprising when one of those coincides with a hit piece on someone else they're trying to take out.

These will escalate leading up to next November, and I expect both to be deplatformed by YouTube sometime before then. Because freedom isn't free, and democracy requires censorship of opposing views.
