Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel Scolds ‘Right-Leaning’ Jurors for Acquittals in Whitmer Kidnapping Trials

Wait, I think I see Michigan's problem. The AG seems to be unfamiliar with the concept of voir dire.

Maybe next time she could ask the judge for cue cards, like "Hey sugar, you can speak up before we seat this guy" or something.

And 61% is not "a very, very right-leaning county." Let's reserve the double intensifier for somewhere like oh say DC, to pick a totally random example.

Here's a radical idea: Why doesn't the FBI investigate actual crime?

Literally have politicians from A to Z to put in jails right now for openly engaging in bribery and corruption.

The fact that our own gov’t set these men up & very nearly stole their freedom, and watching their tears of relief, is beyond blood-boiling.

If you work for the FBI or DOJ and you aren’t whistleblowing on the sick, evil bastards, you’re one of them and you belong in prison.

This is what annoys me about the GOP (both establishment and several MAGA types, unfortunately): their reflexive qualification of any condemnation of the FBI to exclude "the brave men and women on the front lines putting their lives on the line to protect and defend our great country each and every day." It's as predictable and as uniform as the recital of a religious creed.

But it's also stupid and wrong. Peter Strzok and Jim Comey were not doing the menial work of writing briefs and falsifying evidence themselves. They weren't perjuring themselves before a FISA court. They were giving orders to subordinates who knew those orders were unlawful and carried them out anyway. And those subordinates had colleagues, and they talked to those colleagues, either to express dissatisfaction or glee.

There are 15 FBI whistleblowers? I'm supposed to celebrate that? Why aren't there 15,000?

ICYMI: A jury yesterday returned not guilty verdicts for 3 men charged in the Whitmer fednapping hoax. Overall, the case has been a major failure in court and a total humiliation to DOJ/FBI.

Some respond that 9 others were convicted.

Let's break that down. Two men in federal case pleaded guilty incl Kaleb Franks, whose lawyer did some of the best work exposing entrapment scheme. Franks was coerced into a plea the month before March 2022 trial after DOJ threatened more charges and demanded a mental health evaluation.

But for one juror in March 2022 federal trial, Adam Fox and Barry Croft would've been acquitted. Only bc the judge in the 2nd trial made ruling after ruling in favor of DOJ, including limiting cross examination of Franks, did a jury convict. During sentencing, the judge openly denounced suggestions the men were entrapped, egregiously claiming the FBI "did its job."

Both matters are on appeal.

Three others convicted in state trial. Two men pleaded guilty on state charges.

Outcome is the furthest thing from a victory for DOJ or Dana Nessel. And this was straight-up 2020 election interference. House GOP must investigate.

Here's Joe Biden using the news on the campaign stump on Oct 16, 2020:

In other words, of 10 defendants who went to trial, half were acquitted. A major defeat since the government has upwards of a 90% conviction rate. (Higher in DC).
