That is odd, and very difficult to accomplish with just wind and fire.

Some of the other stuff you're describing can be done by just wind and fire, and similar things to them have probably happened before, elsewhere.

But small pieces of metal getting hot enough to char wood without the rest of the wood charring? If that's what actually happened, that's quite odd.

Just be sure that there isn't some other piece of information left out that puts it back into the "possible by wind and fire alone" category.

Did you go to that section of the video that showed the fence? Maybe I'm missing something.

And I'm not suggesting this was all due to a DEW. But I am suspicious that TPTB were waiting for the right chance to enhance a natural fire to be sure it was thorough.

Haven't seen any of the video yet. Still speaking theoretically.

Once I see the video, I can't be at a place in which I have not seen it yet. Have to cover all those angles first.

I'll be very curious to hear your take on the video.

I agree a lot of it can be explained by strong winds, and they get the melting points of glass wrong (though the windshield of the Porsche, in the middle of the flames and 12" from the gas tank, didn't even slump), but some parts leave me scratching my head trying to create plausible scenarios that don't involve nefarious actors.
