These people seem like standard naive Americans who still believe there's a viable two-party system.

That restored my faith in mankind. A little bit. Tiny little bit. But it's a start.

These people are smarter than the entirety of the mainstream media.

That's a low hurdle to clear.

My only takeaway is Jon King loves the smell of his boss' farts.

From the article:

JON KING, CNN: If you think the United States should be supporting Ukraine in the fight against Putin, raise your hand.

IOWA VOTERS: [crickets]

KING: Nobody.

IOWA VOTER: You don't have to be that smart to connect the dots, right? So is the war to cover up sins committed, so you can cover your tracks? There's too much money that has been thrown over there...

KING: That's pretty out there.

IOWA VOTER TWO: How do you trust when you know the government has shut down Facebook and Twitter and told them not to show certain news stories?

Iowa voters have good instincts as to when people are lying to them. It's probably from all those decades of retail presidential politics when candidates have to look you in the eye and either tell the truth or lie.

This is one of the reasons the Democrats changed the primary calendar. Brandon can't bear this kind of scrutiny.

That was good but they only think Biden is trying to cover up his crimes. The ideas of oligarchy, imperialism and endless war for profit doesn't register with them.

I think these are Republican Iowa voters. So they don't know anything about oligarchy or imperialism or the MIC.

Of course if they were Democrats — that is, Limousine Liberals — they wouldn't know about those things either. What clean brains most voters must have 😺

When you hear the Ukraine exchange there, it's like the whole opening of a Tucker Carlson show. He's not there anymore, but that is what it is. These are hardworking people. There are too many Democrats who want to say they're deplorable or why talk to these people? But there are millions of them. This is a family that's an economic anchor in the community. The business started in a basement and employs 80 people, a new collar company employs 15 people, in a part of a country that's been devastated and challenged economically the last 25 years. They're good people. They raise money for the girl scouts. They go to church, but they believe things that would break a fact-check machine.

And they don't trust us. They think we're part of the problem.

It's funny, because CNN thinks that Iowans are the ones in a bubble.

Meanwhile, I can go directly to the video of what's actually going down in Ukraine.

Democrats only want to hear their inside-the-beltway lies repeated back to themselves over and over. They are in a bubble and find the real world very inconvenient.
