¡Bravo, bravísimo, AMLO!

Got some gorgeous looking corn from the supermarket. Long, fat ears, big, plump kernels. Tasted like cardboard. I bet it's devil in disguise corn from Monsanto's demon seed.

Corn grown in Mexico the same way for centuries gets contaminated with Monsanto seed just because of wind and other factors.

The FDA approved marketing of Monsanto's demon seed even though Monsanto had not even complied with EPA requirements. Organic farmers sued. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monsanto_Co._v._Geertson_Seed_Farms

Obama sent his solicitor general to the SCOTUS to argue on behalf of Monsanto the FDA's ruling. (Why would a POTUS defend the FDA despite violation of EPA requirements?) The Supreme Court almost always rules the way that Solicitor General asks it to rule. The Solicitor General was Elena Kagan, now Justice Kagan.

AMLO seems to be standing up for the ordinary Mexican people and trying to develop a new agriculture system that is less reliant on Western GMOs.

There's cross contamination, though.

Wonder how farmers could sue Monsanto for polluting their crops with genetically modified corn? There's gotta be an angle there. Maybe even a provision in NAFTA or something?

Maybe. It's so rigged though in favor of corporations that there may not be a point. The US has defied NAFTA when it has ruled against them in the past.
