In 1969, I had a short conversation with a young man who came to my neighborhood to share some ideas about organizing, and how to build coalitions of like minded, and maybe not so like minded people, to address the problems we shared in common.

That coalition became a threat to local and national power, so it was destroyed. During my brief conversation with that young man, eight words he said to me struck a chord, even though what he meant wasn't as apparent to me as it became later in the 80's when the Democratic party took what was once a tool of the people, and transformed it into the vacuous cesspool of collective "Me's" the Rainbow Coalition, and the Democratic party is to this very day.

Those eight words were: "Identity is a tool, to manipulate the fool." At the time I thought it was a harsh statement, but as a teenager I didn't really understand the concept of training and conditioning the populace through the power of propaganda.

But here we are.

If you have a team full of all different races, sexualities and identities but those people all think the same way then that will give no benefits in performance whatsoever.

Here's an article that lends credence to the insight you've shared.

Thank you.

The article you link to from Black Agenda Report sums it up brilliantly:

The Diversity Hustle

A merry-go-round that has different colors and genders of jackasses and elephants is pure deception.

It drives the nail home, doesn't it?

Absolutely, that's what I love about the writers and editors over there.

It would be nice if more people could see themselves in the articles written there, instead of seeing it as solely a tool for elevating the "Black Agenda."

A recent article by Margaret Kimberly should be required reading for wishful thinkers who believe Government Inc. will give up it's power because the people who don't matter to them wish they would.

Excellent piece, I need to add it to our BKAC collection.

And done.
