I have clicked both bulb & smiley on various comments and then step down into a deeper chain of comments & see only the smiley lit up, like it didn't register the bulb click.

Okay, I put too much emphasis on being lit. (no pun intended) If you click on a bulb that is already lit, the "insightful" number goes down. Same for the face and the "fun" number.

However, it's very likely (pending more experience) that you see lights only on your own posts and the posts you've previously upvoted. So, you have the power to downvote and unfun yourself and the power to retract your previous upvotes.

I think by now I've confused everyone. I'm very sorry to you, u/netweasel and u/SusanJ.

Not you; the interface confuses. I think if I click smiley then bulb too fast that ut ignores bulb click.

If you post, the light bulb near your name automatically lights up. But, if you click it when it's lit, you can make it turn off. Same for a lit "fun" face. So, it's a very limited way to downvote. And now that I think they all go off anyway, I get that it's pointless.

When you replied to one of my comment the other day, the lightbulb went off, an aha moment. So risi is redditrisi, that makes sense, since this isn't reddit:)

I dropped the 2019, since I'm the first SusanJ here. That hasn't happened in ages.

On edit: Ok, I did. Among other things, I didn't want anyone else to get ideas and start posting as saiditrisi. But, I lazily used the same password. Now, saidit gives both accounts trouble logging in.
