Both admins PNG and even the CEO himself in last week's AMA PNG are on record saying they "respect a community's decision to become private".

r/WOTB is not merely private at the moment, though. It's shut down, to me and I assume others. Was that the community's purpose?

I'm just pointing out that a protest to force reddit to change or abandon a "business decision" is different from routinely going private. I'm not siding with reddit. To the contrary, if reddit change the mods of WOTB, that will be it for r/WOTB forever for me and, I suspect and hope, for all of us.
