I agree with this. Those guys at the little food shop had a chance, one even had a coke bottle in his hand I think but he just got overcome with fear and left behind the other to die in his cowering pose.

Apparently he had "improvised weapons". What a complete and utter failure. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm glad he wasn't more successful, but the amount of failure here is of epic proportions. Watching the full version, you can really feel the frustration of his failure. With all of the things that didn't go his way, someone could just put the Yakety Sax song here and it would fit. Jammed weapons, failed bombs, doors that won't open despite being shot multiple times, that slow dude he couldn't shoot despite standing in front of him for a long time before having the right of mind to get back in his car and drive away from the crazy killer. He probably even shot the wrong people.

Jana, 40 years old, was the first victim. The man in the shop was Kevin, only 20 years old. He was a painter working on a construction site nearby and taking a break.

No death sentences in Germany. According to the official sources they got him and are dealing with him now. It was speculated that he got hurt and had to be treated in a hospital before he was taken into custody on the same day it happened (I cannot find anything confirmed for this though)

I think it's safe to say that he won't get out again.

Well, it also means you will probably never even see a civilian with a gun in your entire life. You can see by the reactions in this video that violence like this is not something people expect in Germany. Cops should have been faster though, not sure what took them so long.
