These people are like immature teenagers who think that their parents are horrible people for not letting them do whatever they want. They are too stupid (despite thinking they are smarter than everyone else) to understand that the very system, flawed as it is, that they wish to topple is what allows them to have a relatively comfortable existence despite their mediocrity.

They don’t grasp the levels of complexity that underpin the modern world.

They’d kill off the productive members of society and then find they don’t know how to change the wifi password, let alone keep a modern water treatment works, power generation and distribution network running.

They’d return themselves to below the levels of feudal serf in about six months, and at least feudal serfs knew how to do useful things.

Occupy Wallstreet and then CHAZ were prime examples of the shit that goes down when these fuckers get any sort of organisational control. Services breakdown and it devolves into an ever-decreasing purity spiral, and in the case of CHAZ men with guns turn up and start killing people with impunity.

I think they honestly believe that the only reason productive people get paid more is privilege. They have no concept of competence, and certainly none of experience judging by how many TikTok’s there are complaining about entry level jobs in otherwise lucrative fields.

I wish I could upvote this more than once as you have articulated the heart of the matter better than I ever could.

For people who claim a capitalist system is evil, they sure do seem super focused on money, particularly their belief that any dollar that doesn’t end up in their own pockets is somehow the result of some ill gotten gain.

The even bigger irony is that these people tend to be some of the most conspicuous consumers, obsessed with having the latest gadgets, access to multiple streaming services so they can talk endlessly about TV shows and movies rather than develop their own opinions or personalities. I’m sure most of them buy recreational drugs, expensive coffee drinks, and pricey craft beer too.

They think they are being edgy by talking about their post revolution jobs, but all they are really doing is admitting they are losers who are willing to drag everyone else down to their level in order to get ahead.

Honestly, if all of them disappeared tomorrow, society wouldn’t suffer one bit and probably would improve. I wonder, if on some subconscious level, their reptile brains understand this, driving their desire to burn it all down.

This.

There contributions, positive or negative, are so infinitesimally small, that their absence would make absolutely no difference to the world. They’re the human equivalent of sea foam, visible but with zero physical impact.
