I do because I'm old, lol. I did see that, but it was based on good data - the gay community (gay men - I think lesbians had one of the lowest infection rates of all), got hit hardest and fastest because it was (and probably still is) very promiscuous as a culture. Still, I agree that you have to protect yourself, but you, simply as a human being, have an obligation to disclose something like that. Even to a casual partner and before you actually have sex. This militant push back is insane to me. What kind of asshole keeps something like that hidden. I would never want to be the cause of someone getting a deadly disease, even if treatment has advanced.

These are different but related things. Yes HIV is more stigmatized but also those people loop that into their oppression Olympics where BECAUSE it's more stigmatized, the people with HIV become morally superior. I've been arguing with these idiots for decades now since like 2000. I had a health clinic worker say "criminalizing or forcing people to disclose they have HIV before sex means they won't come into the clinic for the free HIV test because then they can't KNOWINGLY infect other people." It's 100percent reverse engineering a justification that the person never had to forgive them for knowingly infecting people or knowingly avoiding the test itself because they know they were exposed.

My god, it's the most backassward logic ever (not you, but the current state). By that logic, the sex offender list is criminal because it might hurt the perverts' feelings (and I know there's a concerted effort to de-stigmatize MAPS right now and it makes me sick). Seriously, if you aren't grown up to accept responsibility for your HIV status and informing others (who are good enough to fuck, I guess, but not good enough to inform them of the risks of fucking you), you shouldn't be having any sex.
