For the lazy: this is an archived link of a long-winded post entitled

The Worst People You Have Never Met, or, What I Learned During A Four Year Academic Study of Online Harassment In The Dungeons & Dragons Community

which tells you the post is not worth reading, nor the "Dr." author worth listening to.

If you read it you will see she found a snake pit so deep and and full of poisonous creatures that it makes the pit at the end of "True Grit" look like a fucking child friendly petting zoo.

If you think its going after non woke poeple you are mistaken. Or you are a wokey and don't want it being seen.

I couldn’t make it through the whole “article” but having watched as the RPG, and in particular, the DnD community become more and more obsessed with woke shit, I’m not surprised. This is the sort of thing that was written endlessly to force DnD to develop rules for “combat wheelchairs”, “accessible dungeons” and to remove race-based alignments and remind people that “orcs aren’t black people”, like anyone actually thought that.

This seems to happen whenever younger women decide they really must do the things that men do, but find that they don’t like the thing that men are doing, so feel the need to change it. And also when companies decide that their traditional audience is embarrassing or no longer good enough. The troons have contributed quite a bit to this shit too, because they have to make themselves the centre of attention everywhere they go.

But, it basically boils down to this. Men cannot have any hobby or interest for themselves, because certain women, not all because I actually knew some cool role playing girls who loved it the way it was, but a certain type of woman, sees men enjoying something and then desperately needs to join in and completely change it because the men were doing it wrong or they don’t actually like it but want the power that screaming about woke shit gives them. It happened to comics, tabletop gaming, role playing, and pretty much everything that men used to enjoy.

Back in my day, bratty girls would make their brothers play GI Joe with there Barbie’s. Not because they wanted to play with their brothers, but because they knew their brothers hated it.

Nowadays, women have found avenues to continue that behavior into adulthood and now can torment men forever by demanding access to their spaces and then taking them over.

Ah yeah, those were the days. Let's give Barbie a haircut, what do you mean it won't grow back? No mommy we weren't being bullies we were playing cancer survival barbie. Barbie has got cancer from all the nuclear war between GI Joe and Midge.

Yeah, the race-based alignment thing was hilarious: Mind-flayers are people, too; they can walk their own path!

Oh there are fair amount of men doing the same shit in that long article.

But the really disgusting part was the "case study" in the last half or so.

Oh there are fair amount of men doing the same shit in that long article.

And those men are doing it because they see women want it, and hope by hopping their sorry asses on the bandwagon, they'll get favorable attention leading to sex.

Women like this I think are just mad the men are paying attention to something that isn't them.

In response to the assertion that the referenced text targets non-woke individuals, it is imperative to critically examine the underlying logic and assumptions embedded within such a claim. The notion that a text can be inherently biased against a specific group based solely on its content is a dangerous and simplistic oversimplification. Meaning and interpretation are subjective and highly contextual, and reducing a text's significance to a binary categorization of woke versus non-woke grossly oversimplifies the complexities of human expression and understanding. The assertion that the text specifically targets non-woke individuals is not only unsubstantiated but also perpetuates harmful divisions and stereotypes. It implies that there is a monolithic group of non-woke individuals who share a uniform set of beliefs and values, which is not only inaccurate but also dismissive of the diverse perspectives and experiences that exist within any population. Furthermore, labeling a text as anti-non-woke reinforces the idea that there is an inherent conflict between different societal groups, which can further entrench polarization and hinder meaningful dialogue. It is crucial to approach any text with a critical and open mind, acknowledging the potential for multiple interpretations and perspectives. Dismissing a text outright based on a perceived bias against a particular group not only stifles intellectual discourse but also limits our ability to engage with complex ideas and challenge our own assumptions. Furthermore, the claim that the text is targeting non-woke individuals rests on the assumption that there is a clear and universally agreed-upon definition of woke. However, the term woke itself is highly contested and subject to various interpretations. What one person may consider woke, another may perceive as overly sensitive or even radical. Therefore, using woke as a litmus test to determine a text's intent or value is fundamentally flawed. Moreover, the assertion that the text is anti-non-woke implies that non-woke individuals are inherently opposed to progress, inclusivity, and social justice. This is a gross generalization that not only disrespects the diversity of thought and experience within the non-woke population but also perpetuates harmful stereotypes. It is essential to recognize that individuals' beliefs and values exist on a spectrum, and labeling an entire group as anti-woke is both inaccurate and divisive. In conclusion, the claim that the referenced text targets non-woke individuals is not only unsubstantiated but also perpetuates harmful divisions, stereotypes, and oversimplifications. Approaching any text with a critical and open mind, acknowledging the potential for multiple interpretations and perspectives, is crucial for fostering meaningful dialogue and intellectual growth. Dismissing a text based on a perceived bias against a particular group limits our ability to engage with complex ideas and challenge our own assumptions.

I do not give a single flying fuck about online harassment in the D&D "community" and people who care enough to study it academically should shoot themseves in the brain stem with a 12 gauge
