I think really the issue is these guys childhoods are too easy, spoiled too much. So they join the oppression olympics for attention.

I think it's like with bridezillas: either they have actual deprivation in their past they haven't dealt with, or they've princesses who've never been told "no" and are literally Crying and Shaking and Poopenfarten because they saw a "free parking" sign or whatever; there's no middle valley between these two peaks

Daddy issues. Either daddy wasn't around or didn't care about them so they want to do something to make him proud. Or he was a great dad and they want to disappoint them.
