No one is 100% nice and harmless so if that's how they appear then they are putting on a facade. Then you have to ask "why?"

Probably the only person on Earth who came even close in recent years was Fred Rogers. Over 20 years since he died, and there still hasn't been (AFAIK) even a whiff of anything dirty about him.

I often find people who tend to be the nicest and friendliest people are usually ones with a checkered past.

Edit: keep in mind I’m referring to people who have made an effort to change for the better.
