We came up almost entirely without the internet at all. Schools didn't really have internet until early-to-mid-90s and most of the lucky few who had internet at home had it through shit like CompuServe or AOL which was like a kinda-sorta-but-not-really internet.

It wasn't until I was well into adulthood that I was exposed to the darker side of the internet. Before then I was blissfully unaware of how completely fucked in the head people are.

I can't imagine growing up around this shit and being exposed to it in formative years. So glad I dodged that bullet.

Yep. The internet is final proof positive that mankind has no lower limit.

I rem the "computer" in our classroom was a TRS80 that you could write this infinite loop Basic program on

10 print "fuck you"
20 goto 10

and then execute it and the screen would fill up with fuck yous and we 8th graders would giggle.

Also the nudes people would bring to class were printed on a dot matrix printer and really low res....
