They can't engage in debate and discussion because a lot their stances don't line up with reality. It's easier just to call someone a bigot and try to silence them instead.

It’s very hard to debate rationally when you reject logic and reason as tools of the white-cisheteropatriarchy and asking for evidence to support assertions is violence.
