I really think any innate difference between the sexes' video game abilities has been exaggerated. Anyone can press A, B, Select, Start or whatever. The problem is, women are too busy having mind- blowing sex with lantern-jawed Chads to do it.

... That's, uh, that's one theory.

I don't think there's much of a natural gap between the sexes in video games... Men might have a slight advantage in FPS because of their ability to see movement better while women might have a slight advantage in matching and rhythm games because of their ability to perceive colour?... I can't imagine it's so much of a gap that it would mean no (Sex X) could beat a (Sex Y) in (Game Z).

I think the problem is, as I said, these "All Women Teams" in the past have been about getting some women together, regardless of their ability, and then hyping the hell out of them on social media for attention rather than getting a team of skilled players who are dedicated to the game. End result? It makes it look like an all woman team couldn't compete with the men, rather than the more accurate: If you pick your team based on genitals rather than skills, you don't get the best team.

I think it's safe to say that, overall, women are less dedicated and interested in gaming, while there's a lot more lonely, isolated dudes who have spent their life playing these games non-stop. Doesn't mean there's 0, though. I wouldn't be surprised if they were turned off the idea of joining teams after the mockery that those all women teams had in the past... And the lunacy that is this "All Women Team" being advertised here.

I suspect the sex differences are largely to do with interest and obsession.

It’s the same problem with chess.

Women have different interests and levels of obsession and that affects the level of competitiveness.

Chess is strange though as the top women barely crack the top 100 open league iirc.

I'd agree with that.
