When an identity change can be made official by simply declaring it, and in doing so can suddenly put you in a whole new class of people, for which there are special social protections and laws designed to force people to respect you, then as a society we've lost our fucking minds if we think that's not going to go off the rails. In absolutely no school of governing philosophy would this ever be a good idea.

On the plus side, if this keeps going forward harder and harder, then eventually there'll be a tipping point where it becomes necessary for everyone to simply declare it once, get protected by their holy spirit of transness, and can go about their business forever (even if you say it once and take it back, that means you're non-binary forever, remember).

If this happens, then we get equillibrium. Everyone's trans, then no one is comes into account. There's the non-binary who are beyond this shit and can't be given shit anymore because they're technically more oppressed than trans people, while boys have a vagina and girls have a penis. It'd all be over.
