Just wait, the mass gaslighting is about to begin. The pro-troon/pro-mutilation advocates will soon deny that they campaigned for social transition, hormones and surgery to be given to children, and instead insist that they were advocating for talk therapies and watchful waiting and the useful idiots of the commentariat and the propaganda outlets of the media will leap to their defence. Can’t wait to see Biden’s spokeswoman dance around the issue as the blood literally drips from Biden’s hands (and Newsome etc).

As Helen Joyce has pointed out, the Desert Island Japanese Soldiers will be the Munchausen Mommies who mutilated their children, they’ll fight tooth and nail for things to continue but will lose out in the end. I do wonder if we will see a rash of self-deletions amongst this group.

I hate to say this but, I don’t think that those detransitioning, particularly from MtF surgery (castration + penile inversion), will make it much beyond a couple of years after the fad dies. There will be few claimants for the ambulance chasers.

The other issue is, you can only sue for malpractice if the doctor actually goes against policy/procedure or botched the intervention. It seems like all the medical bodies laid out the policies and procedures, and unless your doctor did something outside those guidelines or did a terrible job (which some have done) you will be left with no claim to make.

It’s an absolute travesty.

Could you not sue for misrepresentation or not full disclosing side effect? I'm also thinking lack of informed consent will be an issue for minors.

I've read of parents being told by doctors that "either you get a living daughter or a dead son." If that is true then I think you have a case.

Im sure lawsuits are coming. (I'm pretty sure they have already started)

Anyway you last statement is sadly the most true and important, It is an absolute travesty.

If so, it makes sense of why there is just so much, strangely powerful effort to get Kiwifarms off the internet. A site that's vigilantly archiving most of the shit these people say, do and post is a major threat to people who want the option to do a massive reverse ferret.

I think we are just about to enter it, but we aren’t there yet because they are still calling for “research”. Once that “research” comes back with the same results that the Cass Review and the various European health organisations found, then we will move into the gaslighting stage and the Progress Pride flag will disappear from corporate and institutional events and the original Pride flag will make a sudden resurgence (95% of troons and 99% of troonettes will suddenly decide that they no longer have a incongruence between their sex and “gender identity”).

I mean this year they dropped the usual Rainbow flag altogether, rendering the squabbles over corporate Pride, cops, kink, etc. completely moot, realizing as a bunch of college students with the time and money to always be online people didn't care THAT much about their little campus LGBT Club playpen fights

I blame Ana Mardoll's "I'm just a softboi smolbean arms contractor with a home mortgage" incident for blowing the lid off: the main criticism, of course, was that this was a WHITE trans (yes, Mardoll's a trans man, despite using constant feminine PFPs, names, and presentation to literally lure people into "misgendering" and then rejoice as the Twitter horde tears apart the poor mark)
