It really feels like the situation is changing, and steadily. Denying reality is a problem that was going to fix itself anyway. I'm just glad it's happening earlier than I'd hoped and with far less damage to society than it could've been.

I think we are at a dangerous stage. The political right seem to be coming round to the dangerous nonsense, but, the danger lies in how the political left responds and I worry that they are beginning to double down because of their belief that the right are evil and therefore being on the same side as the right on any issue is intolerable.

The saving grace might be the pragmatic nature of elected officials, if they see the entire trans argument as a vote-loser then, no matter what their beliefs are, the issue might just go away quietly, dropped for fear of alienating floating voters required to maintain seats.
