I think it will simply go out of fashion at some point. Then there will just be loads of people in their 20s and 30s mutilated and castrated realising it was all for nothing. Much like you have a group of people at the moment with stretched ears and huge tattoos they are getting because they thought their emo stage would last forever.

I have an ex-girlfriend that got a Taz tattoo in the early 90s…still makes me laugh to this day 30+ years later.
